Quick guide from the manual

The Conrad SA1200P is a desktop monitor designed to track CO2 concentration, relative humidity (RH), and temperature. It features a large display, touch-button operation, and both audible and visible alarms. The device is ready to use immediately after a 10-second countdown upon connection via USB.

Getting started

Connect the device using the provided USB cable. Once connected, the power indicator and three LEDs will flash, followed by a 10-second countdown on the main display. No initial setup or calibration is required for basic operation.

General operation and settings

  • Navigation: Use the up and down arrow buttons to switch between timeline views and parameters (CO2/RH/TEMP).
  • Main Menu: Press the MENU button to access functions. Use the arrow buttons to highlight a selection and press ENTER to confirm.
  • Factory Reset: Hold the ENTER button for 4 seconds until an audible beep sounds.
  • Alarm/Mute: Enter the ALARM menu to toggle the audible alarm on or off.
  • Temperature Units: Enter the °C/°F menu to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.

Plant and human modes

The device supports specific CO2 monitoring profiles. Select the PLANT menu to choose between modes: 0 (Human, default) or 1-9 (various plant types). Modes 0 and 1 allow for adjustable alarm thresholds via the ADV menu, while modes 2-9 have fixed, non-adjustable alarm settings.

Calibration

To calibrate the CO2 sensor, run the device for at least 20 minutes in an outdoor environment or a well-ventilated area (400ppm CO2). Once the reading is stable, enter the CALI menu and hold ENTER for 3 seconds until the buzzer sounds. Allow 10 minutes after calibration before normal use.

Trend chart display

The device records historical data. You can zoom in on specific time spans (Minute, Hour, Day, Week) using the arrow buttons. The chart displays the history for the currently selected parameter.
