Quick guide from the manual
This device is designed to repel rodents (e.g., martens, rats, mice) from vehicles using high-frequency sounds. It is intended for use in dry, enclosed areas only. The device is a deterrent and not a substitute for professional pest control. Before installation, thoroughly clean the engine compartment to remove scents that may attract rodents.
Installation notes
Important: Do not install the product on or near moving or hot parts such as fan belts, exhaust pipes, or engine covers. Ensure the engine is off and all parts have cooled down before starting.
- For maximum effectiveness, mount the device on metallic surfaces (e.g., engine compartment wall).
- The sound outlet should point towards metal surfaces to enhance sound wave transmission.
- Do not point the sound outlet towards surfaces covered with sound-damping or insulating materials, such as the bonnet.
Connection
The device remains ON continuously unless the wiring is configured to turn it off when the ignition is activated.
- Ensure the vehicle is turned off and parked securely.
- Remove the fuse from the device.
- Attach the fork terminals to the stripped wire ends using a crimping tool.
- Connect the red cable to the positive (+) pole of the car battery.
- Connect the black cable to the negative (-) pole of the car battery.
- Replace the fuse. The LED will blink to indicate the device is receiving power.
- Use the provided cable ties to secure loose wires, ensuring they do not touch moving parts.
Operation
Once connected and powered, the device generates an acoustic deterrent signal. The LED indicator will illuminate at 3-second intervals.
Cleaning and maintenance
Disconnect the device from the power supply before cleaning. Use only a dry, fibre-free cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents, alcohol, or chemical solvents, and never immerse the device in water.
