The Cuisinart PerfecTemp 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker is designed to deliver the perfect cup of coffee by combining advanced brewing technology with user-friendly features. It includes a charcoal water filter to remove impurities, a 14-cup glass carafe, and a programmable control panel for scheduling your brew.

Getting Started

Before your first use, it is recommended to rinse the system by running a brew cycle with water only. Ensure the charcoal water filter is properly soaked and installed in the reservoir to improve coffee flavor by removing chlorine and odors.

Brewing Coffee

• Fill the water reservoir to the desired level using the indicator window.
• Insert a #4 paper filter or the included Cuisinart Gold-Tone permanent filter into the basket.
• Add ground coffee, using approximately one level scoop per cup. Do not exceed 15 tablespoons.
• Select your preferences, such as Bold flavor or the 1-4 cup setting for smaller batches.
• Press the Brew/Off button to start the cycle.

Control Panel Features

The intuitive control panel allows you to set the time, program an automatic start time, and adjust the warming plate temperature (Low, Medium, or High). The Brew Pause feature lets you pour a cup mid-brew for up to 20 seconds.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance. The filter basket and carafe are dishwasher safe (top rack). The unit features a Clean button that illuminates when it is time to decalcify. To decalcify, run a cycle with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water, followed by a cycle with fresh water.

Safety Precautions

Always unplug the appliance when not in use. Do not touch hot surfaces, and never immerse the base unit in water. Ensure the unit is placed on a flat surface with adequate airflow. Do not operate in an appliance garage or under a wall cabinet while plugged in to avoid fire risks.
