Getting Started

Before brewing your first pot, rinse the system by filling the reservoir with water and running a cycle without coffee. Install the charcoal water filter by soaking it in cold water for 15 minutes, then placing it into the holder within the reservoir. To brew, fill the reservoir with the desired amount of water, insert a #4 paper filter or the gold-tone filter, and add ground coffee (maximum 15 tablespoons). Select your preferences, such as bold flavor or 1-4 cup settings, and press the Brew/Off button.

Programming

The control panel allows you to set the clock, program an automatic start time (up to 24 hours in advance), and set an automatic shut-off time (from 0 to 4 hours). You can also adjust the carafe warming plate temperature to Low, Medium, or High to suit your preference.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance. Always unplug the unit before cleaning. The filter basket and carafe are dishwasher safe (top rack). To remove calcium buildup, use the decalcification process: fill the reservoir with a mixture of 1/3 white vinegar and 2/3 water, then press and hold the Clean button. Once the cycle finishes, run a fresh water cycle to rinse the system.
