The Donner Pocket Go is a portable, multi-functional guitar and bass effector. It features 21 editable presets, 6 customizable effect modules, and a built-in battery providing up to 7 hours of playtime. The device supports Bluetooth for music playback, a tuner function, and acts as an audio interface for recording via USB/OTG. Users can download official software for PC or mobile to edit presets, swap sounds, and import IR files.

Device Overview

Rear Panel:

  • Power switch: Turns the device on/off.
  • IN: Input for guitar/bass signal.
  • Volume Knob: Controls output volume (does not affect BT or USB input volume).

Operation and Indicators

Presets are organized into 7 banks (5 guitar, 2 bass), with 3 presets per bank. Colors indicate the bank group.

  • Bank Switching: Simultaneously short press Footswitches A+B for Bank-, or B+C for Bank+. Lights flash slowly during selection; press any switch to confirm.
  • Tuner Function: Hold Footswitches B+C for 2 seconds to enable. The standard frequency is 440Hz (adjustable in software).
  • Low Battery: Indicated by fast flashing of a footswitch light.

Software and Connectivity

The software allows for deep editing of the 6 effect modules. The Loopback function, enabled by default, mixes computer/mobile audio with the instrument signal for recording. Disable this in the software if you wish to record only the instrument signal via the IN jack.

Common problems

Low battery indication

A footswitch light will flash rapidly. Note that this is not displayed in Bypass, Bank switching, or Tuner modes.

Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on both your phone and the Donner Pocket Go. Use the app to scan and connect to the device.

Recording mixed audio (Loopback)

Loopback is enabled by default. Disable it in the software if you only want to record the instrument signal from the IN jack.
