This guide covers the installation and maintenance of the allen + roth Double Drapery Rod. Before beginning, ensure all parts are present and you have the necessary tools. The installation involves marking the wall, drilling pilot holes, mounting the brackets, and assembling the telescopic rod sections.

Preparation and Tools

Before starting, compare the parts in your package with the contents list. If any parts are missing or damaged, do not attempt assembly. Estimated assembly time is approximately 30 minutes.

Tools Required (Not Included):

• Drill
• 3/16 in. drill bit
• Level
• Screwdriver

Installation Steps

1. Marking: Use the bracket as a guide to adjust to the desired height and mark the location on the wall for mounting screws.
2. Drilling: Remove the bracket from the wall. Drill a pilot hole using a 3/16 in. bit (not included) and insert the wall anchors. Note: Anchors are not needed for all installation types (e.g., if mounting to studs).
3. Mounting: Attach the bracket to the wall using the provided screws. Repeat steps 1-3 for any additional brackets. Use a level if necessary.
4. Rod Assembly: Extend the telescopic rod slightly and remove the end cap from the smaller diameter section.
5. Connecting: Slide the additional rod over the smaller diameter rod. At this point, you should have a complete telescopic rod with two large diameter rods connected by one smaller diameter rod section in the middle.
6. Placement: Extend the telescopic rod through the center bracket and feed the remaining half of the curtain panels onto the rod. Fully extend the rod through the remaining outside bracket and screw on the remaining end cap.
7. Finalizing: Reattach the finial and tighten the set screws on the brackets to lock the rod in place.

Troubleshooting

• Drapery rod not level: Ensure the drapery hooks are installed correctly and use a level during installation.
• Drapery rod hook is loose: Ensure hooks are anchored correctly. Attach to wall studs if possible; otherwise, use the supplied anchors and screws.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the product with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents, solvents, or polishes, as they may damage the finish.
