This manual provides instructions for the Elite Gourmet 1.7L Glass Cordless Electric Kettle (Model EKT-602). Before using the appliance, ensure the voltage in your home matches the rating label. Always operate on a flat, stable surface and never leave the kettle unattended while in use. The kettle is designed for household use only and should not be used with automatic timers or outdoors.

Parts Identification

The kettle consists of the following main components:

• Lid: Opens for filling.
• Lid Lock Release Button: Press to open the lid.
• Power Switch: Used to turn the kettle on.
• Kettle Body: Glass container with water level markings.
• Spout with Mesh Filter: Prevents particles from pouring into your beverage.
• 360° Swivel Base: Allows the kettle to be placed from any angle.
• Power Cord: Connects the base to the power outlet.

Before First Use

Follow these steps to prepare your new kettle:

1. Remove all packaging materials.
2. Wipe the interior and exterior of the kettle with a damp cloth.
3. Boil a full kettle of water twice and discard the water to clean the interior.
4. Ensure you use only cold, filtered water to reduce lime scale buildup.

How to Use

1. Press the Lid Lock Release Button to open the lid and fill the kettle with water. Do not exceed the MAX line.
2. Close the lid until it snaps into place.
3. Place the kettle on the 360° swivel base.
4. Switch the kettle ON using the Power Switch.
5. The kettle will switch off automatically after boiling. Disconnect from the power supply.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Always disconnect the appliance and allow it to cool completely before cleaning. Never immerse the base or cord in water.

Removal of Mineral Deposits and Lime Scale

If mineral deposits cause discoloration, use a liquid de-scaler or the following method:

• Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water.
• Let it stand overnight (DO NOT BOIL).
• Empty the solution, wipe the spout if necessary, fill with fresh water, boil, and discard. Repeat if needed.

Cleaning the Filter

The filter can be detached by pulling it out. Clean it with a damp cloth and reinsert it into the support dent.

Safety Warnings

• Do not overfill the kettle.
• Never move or clean the product until it has completely cooled.
• Do not use chemical, steel, wooden, or abrasive cleaners on the exterior.
• Do not lift the kettle body with both hands; use the handle.
• Do not open the lid while pouring.
