Quick guide from the manual
This manual provides essential safety and operating instructions for the FEIN 18V MultiMaster (AMM500 PLUS AS). It is a hand-guided oscillator designed for sanding, sawing, scraping, and cutting in weather-protected environments.
Device Description and Setup
The device uses the AMPShare battery system. To prepare for use, ensure the battery is charged and correctly inserted. The tool features a clamping lever for quick tool changes.
Operating Instructions
- Tool Change: Ensure the clamping lever is open before inserting or removing an application tool. Do not operate the tool with the clamping lever open.
- Switching On/Off: Use the switch to turn the tool on or off. A self-start prevention lock prevents the tool from starting automatically if the battery is inserted while the switch is in the 'on' position.
- Sanding: Press the tool briefly and firmly against a flat surface and switch it on to ensure good adhesion. Use the entire surface of the sanding plate.
- Sawing/Scraping: Select a high oscillation frequency for sawing and a moderate to high frequency for scraping.
Safety and Maintenance
Always wear personal protective equipment. Regularly clean ventilation slots with non-metallic tools to prevent dust accumulation. After working with gypsum-containing materials, clean the ventilation slots and switch element with dry, oil-free compressed air to prevent hardening of dust. Store the tool with the application tool removed and the clamping lever closed.
Battery Handling
Use only FEIN or AMPShare partner batteries and chargers. Protect batteries from heat, fire, water, and moisture. Do not use damaged batteries. If battery fluid leaks, avoid skin contact and clean the area thoroughly.
Environmental Protection
Do not dispose of batteries in household waste. Dispose of them in a discharged state at designated collection points.
