The FLEX SHE 16 18-EC is a professional-grade cordless shear designed for industrial and trade applications. It is specifically engineered for cutting and trimming flat workpieces made of steel, aluminum, and cuttable plastic.
Safety Information
WARNING! Before using this power tool, read and adhere to the provided operating instructions, the enclosed "General safety instructions" booklet, and all local accident prevention regulations. The tool must only be used for its intended purpose and while in perfect technical condition. Immediately repair any faults that compromise safety.
- Always wear protective goggles, work gloves, and sturdy shoes.
- Keep hands away from the cutting area.
- Only approach the workpiece with the machine switched on.
- Always work with the chip deflector attached.
- Remove chips and similar debris only when the machine is at a standstill.
- Secure the workpiece against displacement or rotation using clamps.
Operation
Before initial operation, ensure the delivery is complete and free of transport damage. Batteries are not fully charged upon delivery; charge them fully before first use. To insert the battery, push it into the tool until it clicks into place. To remove, press the release button and pull the battery out. Check the battery charge level by pressing the button on the battery pack.
The tool features a switch rocker for both brief operation (without engagement) and continuous operation (with engagement). It is equipped with accidental start-up protection, overload protection, and temperature monitoring to prevent overheating.
Maintenance and Care
WARNING! Always remove the battery before performing any work on the power tool. Regularly clean the tool and ventilation slots, as frequency depends on the material and duration of use. Blow out the housing interior and motor regularly with dry compressed air. Clean the dust filter at regular intervals by removing it and blowing it out with dry compressed air. Do not loosen screws on the gear head during the warranty period, as this will invalidate the manufacturer's warranty. Repairs must only be carried out by an authorized customer service center.
Disposal
Render end-of-life power tools inoperable before disposal by removing the power cable (for mains-operated tools) or the battery (for battery-operated tools). Do not dispose of power tools in household waste. In accordance with EU Directive 2012/19/EU, used tools must be collected separately and recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.
