This document provides essential information for the Gardena 18V Garden Pump (Art. 14610). It covers safety, installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Always ensure the pump is filled with at least 1.1 liters of water before each startup to prevent dry running.
Product Description
The Gardena Garden Pump is designed for watering, water supply, and cleaning tasks in private gardens. It can draw water from a depth of up to 8 meters.
Installation
1. Place the pump on a level, firm, and dry surface at least 2m away from the water. 2. Ensure ventilation slots are not covered. 3. Connect a vacuum-resistant suction hose to the (In) connection. 4. Connect a pressure hose to the (Out) connection. 5. Fill the pump with at least 1.1 liters of water through the filling opening before startup. 6. Insert the battery until it clicks into place.
Operation
1. Open all shut-off valves in the pressure line. 2. Press the On/Off button on the control panel to start the pump. 3. Use the rotary knob to adjust the pump power. 4. To speed up the priming process, press and hold the On/Off button for 3 seconds to activate the priming mode.
Maintenance
1. Remove the battery before any maintenance. 2. Clean the pump housing with a damp cloth and air vents with a soft brush. 3. Flush the pump after pumping chlorinated water. 4. Clean battery contacts and air vents with a soft, dry brush.
Storage
1. Remove the battery. 2. Drain the pump by opening the water drain plug and tilting the pump by approx. 80°. 3. Store in a dry, enclosed, and frost-proof location.
Troubleshooting
If the pump does not start or stops, check the battery charge, ensure the pump is filled with water, and verify that the suction line is airtight. If the error LED lights up red, check the battery temperature or if the dry-run protection has tripped.
