Quick guide from the manual

This manual provides instructions for the Garvee CM5432D-GS espresso machine. Before first use, it is essential to rinse the machine with warm water. The machine features automatic power-off after 29 minutes of inactivity. If indicators blink rapidly, it usually indicates a need to reset the knob to the off position or perform descaling. Always ensure the machine is on a flat surface and never immerse the housing in water.

Know your coffee maker

The machine consists of a main body, a removable water tank with a cover, a steam control knob, a steam tube, and a control panel. The control panel includes buttons for Power, Single-cup, Double-cup, and Steam, along with corresponding indicators. Settings and functions

You can customize the dispensing amount for single and double cups:

  • Single cup: Hold the single-cup button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode. Press again to start dispensing, and press a third time to stop (10-25 seconds range).
  • Double cup: Hold the double-cup button for 3 seconds to enter setting mode, then follow the same procedure as the single cup (20-50 seconds range).
  • Restore factory settings: Simultaneously hold and press both the single and double-cup buttons for 3 seconds.

Cleaning and maintenance

Regular maintenance is required for longevity:

  • Clean the housing with a moisture-proof sponge.
  • Wash the water tank, drip tray, and attachments in water and dry thoroughly.
  • Descaling: The machine will flash all indicators 5 times after 500 cycles to signal a need for descaling. Use a household descaler or citric acid solution (100 parts water to 3 parts citric acid). Run the solution through the machine, let it sit for 5 minutes, and repeat. Rinse with tap water afterwards.
