The General DS300RC is a precision refrigerant charging scale designed for HVAC applications. It features a rigid die-cast aluminum construction, a heavy-duty load cell with overload protection, and an extra-large LCD display. The unit is capable of measuring in both pounds (lbs) and kilograms (kgs) and can be mounted on a desk or wall.

Key Functions

ON/OFF: Powers the unit on and off.
UNIT/SHIFT: Toggles the measurement unit between lbs and kgs.
TARE/ZERO: Resets the scale reading to zero at any time.
LAMP: Activates the backlight for the LCD display.

Operation

Place the scale on a smooth, flat surface.
Press the ON/OFF key to power on the unit. The LCD should display 0.00.
Use the UNIT/SHIFT key to select your preferred unit of measurement (lbs or kgs).
Charging: Place the refrigerant cylinder in the center of the scale. Do not exceed the 220 lbs / 100 kg capacity, as this may damage the scale.
Recovering: Place the tank in the center of the scale. The display will show the gross weight of the tank and the recovered refrigerant.
