The Hilti DD 110-D is an electrically powered diamond core drilling machine designed for hand-held dry drilling in masonry using diamond core bits and diamond socket cutters. It is not suitable for drilling in concrete or reinforced concrete.

Safety
General Safety: Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection, a hard hat, ear defenders, protective gloves, protective footwear, and light respiratory protection. Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit. Do not operate in explosive atmospheres.
Electrical Safety: Always use the supplied PRCD (Portable Residual Current Device). Check the PRCD before every use. If the supply cord or extension cord is damaged, do not touch it and disconnect it from the power supply immediately.
Operation
Preparation: Adjust the side handle to the desired position. Ensure the core bit is compatible with the chuck system and securely locked.

Drilling: When using a two-part hole-starting aid, do not run the machine without it being pressed against the work surface. Start drilling at a low speed until the bit is centered, then increase pressure. If the core bit sticks, the clutch will slip until the machine is switched off.
Dust Removal: Whenever possible, use a mobile dust extractor. If drilling without dust removal, use slotted core bits and wear suitable breathing protection.
Maintenance
Care: Keep the tool clean and free of oil and grease. Clean air vents with a dry brush. Do not use silicone-based cleaning agents.
Maintenance: Repairs to electrical components must only be carried out by trained electrical specialists. Replace carbon brushes when the service indicator lights up.

Practical help
Common problems
Carbon brush wear limit is almost reached. Have them replaced at the next opportunity.
Check for undervoltage in the power network or generator; check the length of the extension cord.
Ensure the gear selector is fully engaged. If jammed, unplug the machine and use an open-end wrench to free the bit.
Check if the core bit is polished (sharpen on a sharpening plate), if the gear is correct, or if the bit is defective.
Before use
- Check the work area for concealed electric cables, gas, or water pipes.
- Test the PRCD before every use.
- Ensure the side handle is securely tightened.
- Verify that the core bit is clean and securely locked in the chuck.
- Check the supply cord and extension cords for damage.
