This document provides essential instructions for the safe installation and operation of the Homcom Apollo 18C electric fireplace insert. Always ensure the unit is plugged into a properly grounded 120V outlet. Keep combustible materials like furniture, curtains, and bedding at least 3 feet (0.9m) away from the front, sides, and rear of the unit. Never use an extension cord or power strip.
Safety information
- Do not use the heater in bathrooms, laundry areas, or near water.
- Always unplug the unit when not in use.
- Do not block air intakes or exhaust vents.
- The unit features an automatic thermal cutoff at 85± 2°C. If triggered, unplug the unit or turn off the main switch for 10 minutes to reset.
- Repairs must be performed by a qualified service agency.
Assembly instructions
The fireplace insert requires basic assembly of metal trims before installation into a fireplace mantel.
- Attach the metal trims (AA and BB) to the fireplace insert using the provided screws (DD).
- Secure the insert into the mantel using the provided screws (CC).
Operation
The unit features two main controls located on the top right of the fireplace:
- Power: Turns the unit on to standby mode and activates the flame effect.
- Heater: Activates the heater and blower.
Maintenance
Periodic cleaning of the fan/heater unit is recommended. Ensure the unit is turned off and unplugged before cleaning. Use a damp cloth for the exterior; do not use abrasive cleaners. Vacuum the vents periodically to prevent dust buildup.
Troubleshooting
If the unit fails to operate, ensure it is plugged into a 120V outlet. If the heater does not work, turn all switches to OFF, unplug for 10 minutes, then plug back in. If the flame effect is not visible, check that the internal spinner is correctly mounted and the motor is functioning.

No power
