Product Overview

The Husqvarna 110iL is a battery-powered grass trimmer designed for trimming, clearing, and edging lawns. It features a PMDC motor and is compatible with specific Husqvarna batteries and chargers. The unit is equipped with an automatic shutdown function that activates after 180 seconds of inactivity to preserve battery life.

Safety Information

Always remove the battery before performing any maintenance, assembly, or inspection to prevent accidental startup. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye protection, sturdy boots, and long trousers. Maintain a safety distance of at least 15 meters from other people or animals during operation. Do not use the trimmer in wet conditions or during thunderstorms.

Assembly

The trimmer requires basic assembly before first use. Attach the grass trimmer guard to the motor housing and secure it with the bolt. Install the trimmer head by aligning the locking pin with the hole in the housing. Attach the loop handle to the shaft and secure it with the provided screw and knob. If using a detachable shaft model, align the triangular symbols on the shaft and coupling, then tighten the coupling sleeve.

Operation

To start the trimmer, press and hold the ON/OFF button until the green LED illuminates, then engage the power trigger lockout and the power trigger. To stop, release the trigger and press the ON/OFF button until the LED turns off. For edging, use the pivot button to rotate the trimmer head 90 degrees. Ensure the trimmer head is parallel to the ground during operation and avoid pushing the trimmer head into the soil.

Maintenance

Perform a visual inspection before every use to ensure the trimmer head, guard, and motor housing are free of damage or cracks. Clean the unit with a soft brush after each use; do not use water. Regularly check that all screws and nuts are tightened. If the trimmer head or guard is damaged, replace it immediately with original spare parts. Store the battery and charger in a dry, frost-free environment between 5°C and 25°C.

Troubleshooting

The trimmer features an LED indicator to signal status and errors. If the LED flashes continuously, the battery voltage is low and requires charging. If the LED flashes 3 times, the current draw is too high; release the trigger and restart. If it flashes 5 times, there is a temperature issue; allow the unit to cool down. If it flashes 7 times, a logic error has occurred; release the trigger and restart.
