Product Description

The Husqvarna LC 140P and LC 140SP are pedestrian-controlled rotary lawnmowers designed for cutting grass. The grass is collected in a grass catcher, which can be removed for rear discharge.

Safety

Warning: This product is dangerous if used incorrectly. Always read and understand the manual before use. Keep children and animals away from the work area. Never operate the mower in bad weather or on slopes steeper than 15 degrees. Always wear appropriate personal protective equipment, including hearing protection, heavy-duty slip-resistant boots, and long pants.

Assembly

The handle assembly requires attaching the handle to the lower handle assembly using the provided screws, washers, and knobs. Ensure cable tension is not too high to prevent damage when folding for transport. The grass catcher is assembled by connecting the top and lower parts and securing the frame with clips.

Operation

Before starting, ensure the ignition cable is connected to the spark plug, fill the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline (minimum 91 octane), and check the engine oil level. To start, hold the engine brake handle against the handlebar and pull the starter rope. For the LC 140SP model, use the drive bail to engage the wheel drive.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance is essential for safe operation. Key tasks include:

• Daily: General inspection, check oil level, clean the product.
• Monthly: Examine the muffler, clean the air filter.
• Each Season: Replace engine oil, replace air filter, examine the spark plug, and adjust the clutch wire (LC 140SP).

Always stop the engine and remove the ignition cable before performing maintenance. Use protective gloves when handling the cutting blade.

Troubleshooting

If the engine fails to start, check if the ignition cable is connected, the fuel tank is empty, or if the fuel is old. If the engine does not stop, the stop mechanism may be faulty; contact an authorized service agent. Refer to the manual for detailed engine troubleshooting tables.

Disposal

Obey local recycling requirements for all chemicals, including engine oil and fuel. When the product is no longer in use, return it to a Husqvarna dealer or a designated recycling location.
