The Hygger HG-955-AC is a multi-functional aquarium tool designed for water changes, fish waste removal, and sand washing. It features an adjustable handle (29-103cm) and a powerful water pump. Important: Always keep the water pump fully submerged during operation and ensure the electrical connector is kept away from water.
Assembly and Operation
The device can be configured for different tasks by attaching specific heads:
- Debris vacuum: For absorbing fish waste.
- Brush head: For cleaning dirt into the filter.
- Sand washing head: For washing large gravel.
- Sand vacuum: For quick sand washing and debris separation.
- Intake strainer: Used during water changes to prevent gravel from entering the pump.
To assemble, screw the connector onto the water pump, attach the extension tubes, connect the three-way valve, and attach the filter housing. Finally, connect the handle and the chosen cleaning head. For water changes, connect the provided water pipe to the outlet.
Safety Precautions
- Do not run the pump dry; it must be fully submerged.
- Do not use in flammable or corrosive liquids.
- Operate only in water temperatures between 0°F and 45°F (approx. 0-7°C).
- Do not submerge more than 3ft deep.
- Always create a drip loop with the power cord to prevent water from reaching the outlet.

Maintenance
Regularly remove the filter housing to clean the internal sponge. The sponge can be replaced with standard aquarium filter pads if necessary.
Troubleshooting
If the pump stops working, check if it is connected to power, ensure the impeller is not blocked, and verify the pump is fully submerged. If the pump is noisy, clean the motor. If water flow is insufficient, check for a damaged impeller.
