Quick guide from the manual
The Lockwood 001Touch Plus Smart Deadlatch is a digital lock that can be operated via PIN code or Key Tag. Important: You must change the default master code (123456) immediately upon installation for security reasons. If you intend to use the Yale Home App, install the Yale Home Module before setting up the lock, as app connectivity changes how credentials are managed.
Getting to know your lock
The lock consists of a front body (outside) and a back body (inside). The front body features a touchscreen keypad, emergency 9V power terminals, and a low battery indicator. The back body houses the battery pack, reset button, and the module slot for the Yale Home Module.
Opening the lock
To open the door using a PIN code: touch the keypad with your palm to wake it, enter your valid user code, and press the * key. Turn the thumbturn to retract the latch. To open using a Key Tag: present the registered tag to the keypad and turn the thumbturn.
Master code setup
The master code is required to configure the lock. To set or change it: touch the keypad, enter the current master code followed by #, press 1 then #, enter a new 6-digit master code, and press # to complete.
Yale Home App connectivity
To enable smart features, insert the Yale Home Module into the slot above the batteries on the back body. Once installed, download the Yale Home App. Note that once the lock is registered with the app, credential management (adding/deleting users) should be performed via the app rather than the keypad.
User code and key tag management
You can register up to 20 unique user codes and 20 key tags. To add a user code: enter master code + #, press 2 + #, press 1 + #, enter the slot number (1-20) + #, enter the new 4-10 digit code, and press #. To add a key tag: enter master code + #, press 0 + #, press 1 + #, enter slot number + #, present the tag to the keypad, and press #.
Settings and configuration
You can adjust the following settings via the keypad menu:
- Auto-relock: Toggle on/off by entering master code + #, then 9 + #, and selecting 1 (On) or 3 (Off).
- Volume: Adjust by entering master code + #, then 8 + #, and selecting 1 (Silent), 2 (Quiet), or 3 (Loud).
- PIN Re-lock Time: Adjust the time before the lock re-locks (7-60 seconds) by entering master code + #, then 6 + #, and inputting the desired time.
Security features
The lock includes an intrusion alarm that sounds if the lock is attacked from the outside. If an incorrect PIN is entered 5 consecutive times, the lock will enter a 3-minute lockout period. To release the lockout, present a valid Key Tag or unlock via the app.
Emergency power and maintenance
If the batteries are completely discharged, you can provide temporary power by placing a 9V battery onto the emergency power terminals on the front body. The lock uses 4x 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. Do not use rechargeable batteries. To reset the lock to factory defaults, remove the battery, press and hold the R button, reinsert the battery, and continue holding until the ready sound is heard.
