MFL Elwood LED 12V Wall Light Installation Instructions

The MFL Elwood LED 12V Wall Light is an IP67-rated fixture designed for outdoor or wet area use. It requires a 12V AC/DC transformer or LED driver (SELV type, sold separately). Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with local wiring rules. The product is available in two versions: Round (SKU 237005) and Square (SKU 237006).

Installation requirements

• Must be installed by a licensed electrician.
• Ensure power to the circuit is switched OFF before starting.
• The fitting is IP67 rated; this rating must be maintained during installation.
• Check for transport damage before installation; do not install if damaged.
• Ensure all components are present before assembly.
• If using the moulded box, the face of the fitting should be level with the ground surface.
• If using springs, ensure the wall thickness is greater than 30mm.

Installation using moulded box

1. Turn OFF the power to the transformer or LED driver.
2. Remove the moulded box from the fitting.
3. Cut a hole in the installation area according to the specification cut-out size.
4. Secure the moulded box into the installation area and seal it with concrete.
5. Connect the transformer output cable and LED fitting to an IP67-rated connector (not included). Additional silicone glue may be required to maintain the IP67 rating.
6. Press the LED fitting into the moulded box, ensuring the springs pass through the slots.
7. Turn ON the power.

Installation using springs

1. Turn OFF the power to the transformer or LED driver.
2. Remove the concrete can from the fitting.
3. Cut a hole in the installation area (ensure wall thickness is > 30mm).
4. Connect the transformer output cable and LED fitting to an IP67-rated connector (not included).
5. Press the springs and install the LED fitting into the hole so the top lip sits flush on the wall.
6. Turn ON the power.

Wiring

The wiring requires connection to a 12VDC input. Follow the wiring label:

• Negative: Black wire
• Positive: Red wire

Safety and maintenance

• Always ensure power is OFF and the fitting has cooled down before maintenance, cleaning, or adjusting.
• Select a location away from hazards.
• Do not allow the fitting to come into contact with corrosive chemicals.
• Replace any cracked protective lamp shade to maintain the IP rating.
