Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential instructions for the Ozito 1250W 12L Wet & Dry Vacuum (VWD-1212). It covers the safe assembly, correct filter selection for wet or dry operation, and maintenance procedures. Always ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before performing any assembly, cleaning, or maintenance.
Assembly
Before first use, assemble the unit as follows:

- Castors: Turn the tank upside down on a level surface and press each of the 4 castor wheels into the slots until they click into place.
- Motor Unit: Align the motor unit with the tank, hook the securing clips over the lip of the motor unit, and press the lower end of the clips against the tank to lock.
- Handle: Align the handle with the slot on top of the motor unit and push down firmly until it clicks.
Filter Selection
Never operate the vacuum without a filter. The filter type depends on the task:
- Wet Vacuuming: Use the foam filter. Slip it over the filter cage on the bottom of the motor unit. Do not use a filter bag or dust bag when vacuuming liquids.
- Dry Vacuuming: Use the filter bag. Slip it over the filter cage until completely covered. Do not use the foam filter for dry matter.
- Dust Bag: For fine dry dirt, a 20-litre dust bag can be fitted over the vacuum inlet inside the tank to prevent clogging.
Operation
Connect the hose to the inlet port on the tank for vacuuming, or to the outlet port on the back of the motor to use the unit as a blower. Use the floor tool for medium to large areas and the crevice tool for tight spaces. The vacuum features a safety float that automatically stops suction when the tank reaches maximum capacity during wet vacuuming; if this happens, switch off the unit and empty the tank.
Maintenance
Clean the appliance immediately after use. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth and soft soap. The tank can be cleaned with a damp cloth or under running water. The foam filter can be washed with soft soap under running water and must be air-dried before reuse. Always store the tool in a dry location inaccessible to unauthorized persons.
