The Ronix 6112 is a 1400W electric polisher designed for various surface finishing tasks. This guide provides essential information for safe and effective operation. Always ensure the tool is unplugged before performing any maintenance or accessory changes.

Tool components

The device features a main handle with an ON/OFF switch, a lock-on button for continuous operation, a speed adjusting dial, a lock pin for accessory changes, and a D-shaped loop handle for better control.

Assembly and setup

• Loop handle: Attach the D-shaped handle to the tool using the provided bolts and hex wrench. It can be installed in two directions based on user preference.
• Polishing pad: Press the lock shaft to secure the spindle, then screw the polishing pad/wool bonnet clockwise until tight. Release the lock shaft.

Operation

• Starting: Pull the switch trigger to start. Increase pressure on the trigger to increase speed.
• Continuous operation: Pull the switch trigger, push the lock-on button, then release the trigger.
• Speed adjustment: Use the dial (settings 1-6) to adjust the speed. Start on setting 1.
• Polishing technique: Hold the tool firmly with both hands. Maintain an angle of approximately 15 degrees to the surface. Apply only light pressure; excessive force can cause overloading.

Maintenance and care

• Cleaning: Regularly clean the air vents to prevent obstruction and overheating.
• Carbon brushes: Inspect brushes regularly. Replace them if the tool produces excessive sparks or if they reach the wear limit. Always replace both brushes simultaneously using genuine Ronix parts. After replacement, run the tool without load for 10 minutes to break in the new brushes.
• General inspection: Periodically check for loose screws and damaged cable insulation.

Safety

Always wear appropriate safety gear, including eye protection and a dust mask. Do not use the tool in wet conditions or near flammable materials. Ensure the workpiece is securely clamped. If the tool is damaged, have it serviced by an authorized Ronix service center.
