Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential installation and safety instructions for the Rutec VARDAFLEX Paket 4 - RGB LED strip. It covers the assembly of connectors, wiring requirements, and critical safety warnings to ensure proper operation and warranty compliance.
Device Description and Scope of Delivery
The package includes a 5-meter LED strip, a 24V 60W power supply, a push-infeeder, a push-connector, a controller, and a remote control.
Installation and Mounting
Important: Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician. Ensure the power is switched off before starting and cannot be accidentally turned back on.
- Prepare the surface: It must be even, dry, dust-free, and grease-free.
- If necessary, shorten the LED strip at the marked points (every 5 LEDs / 166.7 mm).
- Remove the protective foil and press the strip onto the surface. Do not press directly on the electronic components.
- Connect the LED strip to the controller first, then to the power supply.
- For current-carrying surfaces, use an insulating layer between the strip and the surface.
Mounting the Connector
- Remove the protective film and adhesive foil on the back of the strip in the connector area.
- Flip up the cover of the connector.
- Insert the LED strip into the gap until it is flush at the back and fold down the cover.
- Press the connector together using a tool (e.g., pliers) until a clicking sound is heard on both sides.
- Ensure the plastic cover is not sticking up.
- Insert the cable into the connector, ensuring it is positioned at the back and within the two notches.
- Close the cover and press the connector together in the center until fully closed.
Safety and Maintenance
- The LED controller is not waterproof. Protect it from direct sunlight and rain. For outdoor use, install it in a waterproof housing.
- Ensure good ventilation at the installation site.
- Never connect cables while the power is on. Check for short circuits before switching on.
- Do not attempt repairs yourself, as this voids the manufacturer's warranty.
