Safety Instructions
Danger of electric shock: Always connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed socket. Never immerse the kettle, base, or power cable in water. Keep children under 8 years of age away from the appliance. Do not use the kettle near water in bathtubs, sinks, or other containers.
Risk of fire and burns: Do not place the base or kettle on or near hot surfaces. The appliance heats up during use; handle it only by the handle and open the lid only when cool. Ensure the lid is engaged before use. Do not fill above the 'max' marking to prevent boiling water from splashing.
Operation
To boil water, fill the kettle through the spout or open lid. Check the water level using the indicator. Place the kettle on the base and press the ON/OFF switch. The kettle will heat to the factory-set 100°C. You can adjust the temperature to approximately 70°C, 80°C, 90°C, or 100°C using the + and - buttons. The kettle switches off automatically once the target temperature is reached.
Keep Warm Function
The keep-warm function can be activated at any temperature setting by pressing the keep-warm button. The indicator will light up. This function automatically switches off after 30 minutes.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth; do not use abrasive cleaners. The limescale filter can be removed and soaked in vinegar. Regular descaling is essential to prolong the life of the kettle, ensure proper function, and save energy. Use vinegar or a commercial descaling agent, then rinse thoroughly with clear water.
Troubleshooting
If the kettle does not heat up, the overheat protection may have tripped; allow it to cool down. If the kettle switches off before boiling, it likely contains too much limescale and requires descaling.
