Before using your electric fireplace for the first time, ensure that the circuit breakers are on. You may notice a slight, harmless odor during the first use; this is a normal reaction as internal parts heat up and will dissipate quickly. Always keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, and curtains, at least 3 feet (0.9 m) away from the front, sides, and rear of the heater.
Installing the Crystal Beads
To install the decorative crystal beads:
- Remove the four screws at the corners of the glass frame assembly.
- Lift up and remove the front glass assembly away from the firebox.
- Carefully pour the decorative crystal beads onto the tray.
- Replace the glass frame assembly into the unit, align the screw holes, and tighten the four screws to secure it.
Caution: The front panel is made of glass. Handle with extreme care to avoid personal injury or property damage.
Electrical Connection
The fireplace requires a 12.5 AMP, 120 Volts, 60 Hz circuit. It is highly recommended to use a dedicated circuit to prevent the circuit breaker from tripping or the fuse from blowing when the heater is in operation. Always plug the heater directly into a wall outlet; do not use extension cords or power strips.
Operating Instructions
The fireplace can be operated using the control panel on the unit or the included remote control.
- Main Power: Switches the unit ON/OFF. Holding the power button for 5 seconds activates or deactivates the Child Lock mode.
- Heater: Programs the thermostat. Adjust the temperature from 62°F to 82°F (17°C to 27°C). Hold the button for 5 seconds to toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius.
- Flame Crystal Color: Adjusts the color level (00 to L5).
- Flame Speed: Adjusts the speed of the flame effect (1 to 5).
- Timer: Controls the duration of the heater function (30 min to 9 hours).
Maintenance and Troubleshooting
If the remote control stops working, replace the battery with a new CR2025 battery. Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity. If the display shows an E2/E3 error code, it indicates a thermostat sensor issue or overheating. Unplug the heater for 30 minutes to allow it to cool down, then re-plug and operate. If the problem persists, discontinue use and contact customer service.
