The Tommee Tippee No Knock Cup is designed to stay upright on smooth, flat surfaces while remaining easy to lift vertically. This guide covers the essential cleaning and maintenance required to keep the Clevergrip base functioning correctly. Always supervise children during use and inspect the cup for damage before each feeding.

Cleaning and sterilization

Proper maintenance is crucial for the Clevergrip base to maintain its suction properties:

• Wash the cup in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly after every use.
• The Clevergrip base must be hand-washed; it is not dishwasher safe.
• To remove the base, place your palm across it and rotate anti-clockwise.
• If sterilizing, use cold water sterilization only. Do not use boiling, steam, or microwave sterilization methods.
• Avoid contact with oil-based foods (e.g., tomato or oil-based sauces) as they may stain the product.

Using your No Knock Cup

The cup works best on dry, smooth, flat, and solid surfaces like tables or high chairs. It will not function effectively on tablecloths, fabric, or surfaces with deep wood grain. Always ensure the surface is dry before placing the cup down.

Troubleshooting and maintenance

If the cup is not gripping the surface or is sticking too much, follow these steps to clean the base:

1. Remove the base by rotating it anti-clockwise.
2. Rinse thoroughly under a tap, ensuring water flows into the small center hole.
3. Gently lift the edge of the silicone skirt (do not pull) and run water underneath it.
4. Rinse the four holes in the solid part of the base.
5. Shake off excess water and wipe dry before reassembling.

If the cup is sticking too much, ensure the base is completely dry and has not been put in the dishwasher. To release a stuck cup, slide it to the edge of the surface or tilt it while pressing your thumb on the silicone skirt to break the seal.
