Quick guide from the manual
The ZWILLING Thermo Food Jar is designed for storing food and beverages. To ensure optimal performance and safety, follow these guidelines for usage, cleaning, and maintenance. Always ensure the lid is properly and fully closed before transport.
Usage
For best insulation results, pre-rinse the container with cold water for cold contents or hot water for hot contents. Fill liquids only up to the lower edge of the threading. Overfilling can cause the closure to malfunction and lead to leakage.
Cleaning and care
Before first use, rinse the product with warm water and a little detergent, then allow it to dry in a well-ventilated area. While all parts are dishwasher-safe, hand washing with a soft cloth and mild detergent is recommended to preserve the product. Avoid abrasive agents like scouring powder or steel wool. For stubborn stains, use hot water and baking powder, then rinse thoroughly.
Safety
Do not use the container for carbonated drinks, dry ice, or for keeping dairy products or baby food warm due to the risk of bacterial growth. Do not store fermenting foods (e.g., peas, beans, cabbage) as the fermentation process can build up pressure, preventing proper closure or causing hot contents to escape. Do not keep warm food in the container for longer than 10 hours. The product is not suitable for ovens, grills, hot plates, microwaves, or freezers. Keep out of reach of children when filled with hot liquids.
Pressure relief
If pressure has built up inside the container, it can be relieved by carefully pressing the pressure relief valve on the lid before attempting to open the jar.
