Important Information from the Manual

This document provides installation and maintenance instructions for VEVOR automotive tail light assemblies. It is highly recommended to have these lights installed by a professional car modification service shop. Please note that for certain models, you must retain and reuse the original reversing lamps from your vehicle, as they are not included in the new assembly.

Safety Precautions

  • Read and understand the entire manual before operating or servicing.
  • Wear ANSI-approved safety goggles and heavy-duty work gloves during assembly.
  • Keep the assembly area clean and well-lit.
  • Keep bystanders away from the work area.
  • Do not attempt assembly if you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication.

The installation procedure for the Right Hand (RH) side is the same as for the Left Hand (LH) side.

  1. Open the tailgate and remove the two Phillips screws securing the existing tail light.
  2. Remove the original factory tail light assembly, along with all sockets and bulbs.
  3. Note: Ensure you retain the original reversing lights to install them on the new assembly.

Step 2: Install the New Tail Light

  1. Locate the new tail light assembly.
  2. Connect the tail light harness.
  3. Set the new tail light assembly in place.
  4. Reinstall the two Phillips screws and test the light to ensure everything works correctly.

Troubleshooting Condensation

If you experience condensation inside the tail light, consider the following causes and solutions:

  • Large daily temperature changes: Check that all vents are free from blockages. Turn on the lights for 20 minutes to raise the temperature and evaporate the condensation.
  • Leaking seals on bulbs/sockets: Remove the bulbs to allow moisture to evaporate from inside the housing. You may use a hairdryer to speed up the process.
  • Moisture inside housing: If seals are leaking, place a moisture-absorbing silica-gel desiccant packet inside the tail light.
