Installation Instructions

Tools Required

Steps

1. Prepare: Park the vehicle on a flat surface, turn off the engine, and clean the mounting hole and contact surface to remove dust and oil.
2. Remove Old Clip: Insert the plastic tool into the gap, pry the trim panel slightly, and pull the clip out. Do not force it if stuck; wiggle it gently.
3. Install New Clip: Align the serrated top of the new clip with the mounting hole. Place the trim panel in position and press down until you hear a "click".
4. Test: Tap the trim panel around the clip to ensure there is no looseness or rattling.

Usage & Maintenance

Avoid frequent disassembly of the trim panel to prevent wear on the clip and mounting hole. During vehicle cleaning, avoid using high-pressure water directly on the clip.

Cleaning: Wipe with a dry or lightly damp clean cloth. Use mild interior cleaner for stubborn stains; avoid harsh chemicals like alcohol or benzine.

Replacement Interval: Replace the clip if it is cracked, broken, deformed, or fails to hold the panel firmly. Recommended interval is 4–6 years or 60,000–80,000 km.

Troubleshooting

If the clip cannot be pressed into the hole, ensure the hole is clean and the clip is aligned. If the clip falls off, re-install and press firmly until locked. If the trim panel is loose, ensure you have an adequate number of clips installed.
