Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential usage and care instructions for your Zwilling cookware. Proper maintenance ensures longevity and optimal performance. Always allow cookware to cool before cleaning to prevent thermal shock, and avoid using high heat settings for extended periods.
Before first use
Clean your new cookware thoroughly with hot water, mild dish soap, and a soft sponge, cloth, or brush. Dry the product completely to prevent water spots.
Instructions for correct and energy-saving use
- Only heat cookware when it is dry to prevent burnt-on oil or water traces.
- Never leave cookware unattended while heating or empty for long periods.
- Use a hob/element diameter that matches the base of the pot.
- Use the lid while cooking to minimize heat loss.
- Fill the cookware only to 70-80% capacity to avoid boiling over.
- Add salt only to boiling water and stir immediately to prevent surface pitting.
- Cookware with plastic handles is ovenproof up to 150 °C (300 °F).
Instructions for induction and gas hobs
Induction hobs: Heat slowly on medium heat and avoid using the boost function. A buzzing or humming sound at high settings is normal and does not indicate a defect.
Gas hobs: Ensure the gas flame does not extend beyond the base of the cookware to prevent burns. Using oven gloves or a tea towel is recommended.
Cleaning and maintenance
Hand washing with warm water and mild detergent is recommended. Avoid aggressive cleaning products. For stubborn stains on stainless steel, use conventional stainless steel cleaners, lemon juice, or vinegar. Do not store acidic food in the cookware for long periods.
Non-stick coated cookware
For non-stick items, use low to medium heat (2/3 of maximum output). Use minimal oil or fat with a smoke point around 200 °C (400 °F) or higher. Avoid oil sprays. Non-stick cookware is ovenproof up to 230 °C (450 °F), or 200 °C (350 °F) if it has a ceramic coating or plastic handles.
Important safety information
- Never leave hot cookware unattended, especially near children.
- Handles may get hot; always use oven gloves or tea towels.
- If a vacuum forms under the lid, heat the cookware briefly at a low temperature to release it.
- Cookware is NOT suitable for microwave use.
