Safety Instructions

Installation and Operation

Operation:
- Open the lid by pressing the lock.
- Fill with fresh water (between MIN and MAX markings).
- Place the kettle on the base.
- Plug into a socket and press the ON/OFF switch to the I position.
- The indicator light will turn on. The kettle switches off automatically when water boils.
- To interrupt manually, press the switch to the O position.
Dry-Run Protection: If the kettle is switched on without sufficient water, the protection will trigger. Remove from the base, let it cool down, and refill with fresh water before using again.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- Daily Cleaning: Rinse the water tank with clean water. Wipe the exterior and base with a soft, damp cloth.
- Limescale Filter: Remove the filter using the click system, wash it with water, and reinstall.
- Descaling: Regular descaling is essential to prevent damage and maintain efficiency. Use a suitable descaling agent (e.g., Bartscher liquid or granulate). Fill with water and descaling agent, boil, then rinse thoroughly with fresh water several times.
