This document provides essential instructions for the safe operation and maintenance of the Bosch CityMower 18V-32-300. Always remove the battery and isolator key before performing any maintenance, cleaning, or when leaving the machine unattended.
Assembly and Operation
The mower requires assembly of the handle and grassbox before first use. Ensure all nuts and bolts are tightened securely. The cutting height can be adjusted between 30 mm and 60 mm. To operate, insert the charged battery and the isolator key, then use the switch on the handle.
Battery Handling
Use only compatible Bosch 18V lithium-ion batteries. Charge the battery in a suitable Bosch charger within the recommended temperature range (0 °C to 35 °C). The battery is equipped with Electronic Cell Protection (ECP) to prevent deep discharge.
Maintenance
Always wear gardening gloves when working near the blades. Regularly check the grass bag and catcher for wear. Keep the machine clean and free of debris. If the blade is blunt or damaged, replace it as a set to maintain balance. Tighten the blade nut/bolt to 17 Nm.
Troubleshooting
- Motor refuses to start: Check if the battery is charged, the isolator key is fully inserted, or if the motor protector has activated (allow to cool).
- Machine leaves ragged finish: Increase the cutting height or replace a blunt blade.
- Excessive vibration: Tighten the blade nut/bolt or replace a damaged blade.

Motor refuses to start

Ragged finish or motor laboring
Increase cutting height, replace blunt blade, or clear any clogging from underneath the mower.

Tighten the blade nut/bolt (17 Nm) or replace a damaged blade.

- Check that the blade and blade bolts are not worn or damaged.
- Verify that all guards and the grassbox are correctly fitted.
- Wear sturdy shoes and long trousers.
