This hedge trimmer is designed for cutting and trimming hedges and bushes in domestic use. To operate, insert a charged battery until it clicks into place. The tool features a two-handed safety switch system; both the front and rear handle switches must be pressed simultaneously to operate. To switch off, release either switch or both.

Safety Information
General Power Tool Safety: Always keep your work area clean and well-lit. Do not operate in explosive atmospheres. Keep children and bystanders away.
Hedge Trimmer Safety: Keep all body parts away from the blade. Do not attempt to remove cut material or hold material to be cut while blades are moving. Always carry the hedge trimmer by the handle with the blade stopped. When transporting or storing, always use the blade cover.
Important: This tool contains magnets. Keep away from medical devices like pacemakers or insulin pumps.
Operation
Inserting and Removing the Battery: Push the charged battery into the battery holder until it clicks into place. To remove, press the battery unlocking button and pull the battery out.

Working Advice: Move the hedge trimmer evenly forward along the cutting line. Cut the sides of the hedge first, then the top. For straight sides, cut from bottom to top in the direction of growth.
Anti-Blocking Mechanism: If the blade stalls on tough material, the motor load increases. The intelligent micro-electronics sense this overload and repeatedly reverse the motor to prevent stalling and cut through the branch. If the overload condition persists, the blades will automatically stop in the open position.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the garden product (maintenance, tool change, etc.) as well as during transport and storage, remove the battery. Always keep the product clean for safe and proper working. The teeth of the cutting blades are very sharp; wear resistant work gloves when cleaning. Clean the hedge trimmer with a damp cloth and apply BOSCH lubricant spray to the blades.
Troubleshooting
If the hedge trimmer does not operate, check if the battery is discharged or not fully connected. If the motor runs but blades remain stationary, contact a service agent. If the cutting blade is hot, it may be blunt, have dents, or lack lubrication.
