The Bosch GSC 18V-16 Professional is a cordless sheet metal shear designed for cutting sheet metal without material loss. It is suitable for both straight and curved cuts. Before using the tool, ensure the battery is fully charged and the chip deflector is correctly mounted.

Product Description
The tool features an on/off switch, a chip deflector, and an adjustable blade system. The battery charge indicator allows you to monitor the remaining power.
Assembly
Battery Charging: Use only the chargers listed in the technical data. The battery is supplied partially charged; charge it fully before the first use. To remove the battery, press the unlocking button and pull the battery upward.
Operation
Switching On/Off: Push the switch forward to turn the tool on (marked 'I') and backward to turn it off (marked '0').

Working Advice: Always switch the tool on before bringing it into contact with the workpiece. Hold the tool at an angle of 80 to 90 degrees to the sheet surface and do not tilt it sideways. Guide the tool evenly and with light pressure in the cutting direction.
Cutter Clearance
The cutter clearance (gap between blades) depends on the sheet thickness. It should be 10% of the sheet thickness. To adjust, loosen the bottom cutter screw and use the adjustment screw to set the required clearance. Ensure the upper and bottom cutters do not touch.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Blade Replacement: The upper and bottom cutters are identical and have four cutting edges. They can be exchanged. To replace, loosen the respective fastening screws, turn the cutter 90 degrees, or install a new one. Ensure the bottom cutter rests against the adjustment screw during installation.

Overload Protection: The tool is protected against overload by a temperature-dependent circuit. If overloaded, the stroke rate is reduced or the tool switches off. Allow the battery to cool down before restarting.
