This document provides essential instructions for the assembly, safe operation, and maintenance of the Bright Starts Rainforest Vibes Portable Swing. Always read the full manual before use. The swing is intended for infants who cannot sit up unaided and weigh between 3 kg and 9 kg. It is not a substitute for a crib or cot.
Safety warnings
- Fall and strangulation hazard: Always use the restraint system and adjust it to fit snugly. Stop using the product when the infant attempts to climb out (approx. 9 months).
- Suffocation hazard: Keep the seat fully reclined until the infant is at least 4 months old and can hold their head up without help. Never use on soft surfaces like beds, sofas, or cushions.
- Supervision: Never leave the child unattended.
- Placement: Always place the product on the floor. Never use on elevated surfaces.
- Movement: Never move or lift the product with the baby inside.
Assembly
- Assemble the left and right swing frame assemblies.
- Connect the front and rear foot assemblies to the frame.
- Attach the backrest tube and seat pad to the frame.
- Secure the toy bar with toys to the top of the frame.
Battery installation
The swing control module requires (4) size C/LR14 (1.5V) alkaline batteries (not included). Use a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. Ensure correct polarity as marked. Do not mix old and new batteries or different types. Remove batteries if storing the product for a long period.
Operation
Use the power switch to turn the swing on. The speed selector offers 6 settings. Press the button until the desired speed is indicated by the flashing LED. Gently push the seat to initiate the swinging motion.
Care and cleaning
- Seat pad: Remove from frame, fasten all buckles and hook-and-loop patches. Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. No bleach. Tumble dry low.
- Toy bar and toy: Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry. Do not immerse in water.
- Frame: Wipe with a soft, clean cloth and mild soap.

Erratic operation, distorted sound, or dim lights
Replace all batteries at once with a fresh set of (4) size C/LR14 alkaline batteries.
Swing motion is slow or not working
Ensure the seat is given a gentle push to start the motion after selecting the speed.
