The BRITA sodaTRIO is a soda maker designed for personal use, compatible with glass, plastic, and stainless steel bottles. It allows you to carbonate drinking water to your preferred level of fizziness. This guide provides essential instructions for safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Product Overview

- Sparkling button: Used to carbonate the water.
- Cylinder housing: Holds the CO2 cylinder.
- Nozzle: Dispenses CO2 into the bottle.
- Container: Holds the bottle during the carbonation process.
- Drip tray with grid: Collects excess water.
- Base: The main support for the unit.
Installation
Installing the CO2 cylinder:

- Remove the container and drip tray grid. Place the soda maker on its side.
- Remove the seal from the CO2 cylinder head and unscrew the valve cover.
- Slide the cylinder into the body from the bottom. Turn it clockwise until it makes contact, but do not overtighten.
- Screw the nozzle into the thread on the sodaTRIO.
- Place the unit upright and reinsert the drip tray grid.
Caution: Only use CO2 cylinders with a universal screw-in valve. Quick-connect valves are not compatible.
How to use

- Prepare the bottle: Fill the bottle with drinking water up to the marked filling line. Do not overfill.
- Insert the bottle: Place the filled bottle into the container. If using the small stainless steel bottle, insert the bottle base into the container first.
- Attach to system: Thread the container with the bottle into the soda maker. Ensure the nozzle is centered in the bottle opening. Screw the container into the system counterclockwise until you hear an acoustic signal.
- Carbonate: Press the sparkling button all the way down. For slightly fizzy water, press for 1 second. For medium, press for 2 seconds. For extra-fizzy, press until you hear a buzzing sound (approx. 3 seconds).
- Release: Release the button to allow excess pressure to escape. Carefully unscrew the container clockwise to remove the bottle.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Soda maker: Remove the container, bottle base, nozzle, and drip tray grid. Clean all parts with mild detergent and lukewarm water. Do not put these parts in the dishwasher. Empty and clean the drip tray regularly.
Bottles: All sodaTRIO bottles are dishwasher safe. Alternatively, clean with mild detergent and lukewarm water using a brush without exposed metal parts. Clean the bottle lid and sealing regularly.
Troubleshooting
If you experience issues, check the following:
- Little or no CO2: Ensure the cylinder is full, the bottle is filled to the line, and the button is fully pressed. Check if the cylinder is properly screwed in.
- Water droplets on cylinder slot: Try tightening the CO2 cylinder.
- CO2 escaping without pressing button: Remove and re-screw the cylinder.
- Cylinder freezing: Check if the black rubber gasket inside the cylinder bracket is present and centered.
- Container won't screw in: Ensure the bottle is inserted properly and the nozzle is centered.
Safety and Disposal
Only use original BRITA sodaTRIO bottles. Do not carbonate liquids other than water. Store CO2 cylinders in an upright position, away from heat sources and out of reach of children. Dispose of packaging in paper recycling, bottles in general waste, and the soda maker as bulky waste or at a recycling center.
