The BRITA MAXTRA+ water filter cartridges are designed for domestic water filtration to improve taste and reduce contaminants such as chlorine, limescale, lead, and copper. Each cartridge utilizes MicroFlow technology with activated carbon and ion-exchange pearls. A single cartridge lasts approximately 4 weeks or 100 liters of water.

Instructions for Use

1. Remove the new cartridge from its packaging.
2. Rinse the cartridge under cold water for 30 seconds.
3. Insert the cartridge into the BRITA jug funnel and press down until it is securely in place.
4. Fill the jug with water and discard the first two full filtrations to properly flush the filter.
5. The system is now ready for regular use.

Warnings and Precautions

• Use only with cold water.
• Do not use with microbiologically unsafe water or water from unknown sources.
• Store unused cartridges in a cool, dry place.
• Keep cartridges out of the reach of children.
• Do not attempt to open or modify the cartridge.

Storage and Maintenance

• Clean the jug components regularly using a mild detergent.
• Do not immerse the cartridge itself in water for storage.
• Avoid exposing cartridges to heat or direct sunlight.
• Used cartridges are 100% recyclable through the official BRITA recycling program.
