Quick Guide
The Brizo 15A Air Switch allows for convenient operation of a garbage disposal. The push button must be installed within 5 feet of the power module. Ensure the power module is connected to a continuously energized, grounded 120V wall outlet.
Installation
Mounting the Push Button
- Drill a 1 1/4 inch diameter hole in the sink or counter top.
- The push button body can be mounted through surfaces up to 2 inches thick.
- Place the rubber gasket between the threaded body flange and the mounting surface.
- If the opening is larger than 1 1/4 inches (up to 1 11/32 inches), use the optional stainless steel washer between the rubber gasket and the mounting surface.
- Insert the threaded body through the hole and secure it with the mounting nut. Tighten to ensure a watertight seal.
Connecting the System
- Connect one end of the air tubing to the fitting on the push button.
- Route the air tubing to the power module, ensuring it is not kinked, cut, or disconnected. Do not route the tubing taut.
- Connect the remaining end of the air tubing to the fitting on the power module.
- Insert the power module into a dedicated, grounded 120V wall outlet.
- Plug the garbage disposal into the power module outlet.
Operation
Press and release the push button to turn the disposer ON. Press and release the button again to turn the disposer OFF.
Troubleshooting
If the system is not working, follow these steps:
- Check if a wall switch controls the outlet. If yes, ensure it is in the ON position.
- Confirm the electrical circuit breaker has not tripped.
- Ensure the controller is securely plugged into the outlet. If using a GFCI outlet, confirm it has not tripped.
- Check that the air tubing is securely connected to both the controller and the push button assembly.
- Unplug the disposer from the controller and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the disposer turns on, contact customer service.
