This flat iron is designed for household use and features dual voltage capability (120-240V). It is essential to keep the appliance away from water at all times, even when the switch is off, as it remains electrically live if plugged in. Always unplug the device immediately after use.

Getting to know your flat iron

The device consists of 1-inch ceramic-coated plates, a power indicator light, an On/Off switch, an ergonomic handle, and a swivel cord. The ceramic coating is designed to provide even heat distribution and smooth gliding through hair.

Operating instructions

The flat iron automatically adjusts to the proper voltage. If using outside the US, an adapter plug with the correct configuration may be required. Do not use a voltage converter.

• Plug the cord into a household outlet (120-240V).
• Slide the ON/OFF switch to the ON position. The power indicator light will turn on.
• The plates heat up very quickly.
• To turn off, slide the switch to the OFF position.

Straightening basics

For best results, ensure hair is clean and completely dry before use. A light styling product may be applied before blow-drying.

1. Take a hair section that is 2 inches wide and no more than 1/2 inch thick.
2. Open the iron and place the hair section between the plates, close to the scalp.
3. Firmly squeeze the handles together to trap the hair.
4. Slowly pull the unit down along the hair section toward the ends.
5. Release pressure at the end of the section and repeat as necessary.

User maintenance and storage

The flat iron is virtually maintenance-free and requires no lubrication. Keep all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning is necessary, disconnect the unit, allow it to cool, and wipe the exterior with a cloth. When storing, allow the unit to cool completely. Do not wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this can damage the cord at the entry point.

Safety warnings

• Water Hazard: Never use while bathing or in a shower. Do not place or store where it can fall into a tub or sink. If it falls into water, unplug immediately.
• Burn Hazard: The plates get extremely hot within seconds. Avoid contact with skin.
• Cord Care: Never pull, twist, or wrap the cord around the appliance. Inspect the cord frequently for damage.
• Supervision: Never leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.
