This document provides assembly and installation instructions for the Crystorama 131-VZ-CEILING light fixture. It covers two mounting configurations: hanging (with chain) and ceiling-mount (flush). All electrical work must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electric Code and local regulations.
Safety and Requirements
- Electrical Safety: Always turn off power before starting installation.
- Bulb: Requires 1 Medium Base bulb (40W recommended, 60W max). LED bulbs are recommended for extended use.
- Environment: This fixture is damp-rated.
- Warning: This product contains lead, which is known to the state of California to cause cancer and/or birth defects or reproductive harm.
Installation Procedures
For Hanging
- Determine the desired height and adjust the chain accordingly.
- Open one chain link, connect to the fixture loop, and close. Repeat for the canopy loop.
- Thread mounting screws into the mounting bar and secure with small hex nuts.
- Attach the mounting bar to the outlet box using outlet box screws.
- Raise the canopy, align with mounting screws, and secure with ball nuts.
- Hang crystals on the metal ring and bottom basket, alternating between glass drops A and B.
- Hang glass drop C at the bottom of the basket.
- Install the bulb into the socket.
For Ceiling Mount
- Loosen the canopy hex nut and disassemble the canopy.
- Remove the top loop from the fixture.
- Slide the canopy, metal washer, and lock washer over the nipple, then secure with the hex nut.
- Thread mounting screws into the mounting bar and secure with small hex nuts.
- Attach the mounting bar to the outlet box using outlet box screws.
- Raise the canopy, align with mounting screws, and secure with ball nuts.
- Install the bulb into the socket.
- Hang crystals on the metal ring and bottom basket, alternating between glass drops A and B.
- Hang glass drop C at the bottom of the basket.
Crystal Arrangement
The fixture includes three types of crystals:
- A: 30mm (29 sets total)
- B: 76mm (29 sets total)
- C: 30mm ball with chain (1 set)
Crystals A and B should be hung in an alternating pattern on the metal ring and the bottom basket.

Common problems
Fixture is not secure
Ensure the mounting bar is firmly attached to the outlet box with the provided screws and that the ball nuts are tightened securely against the canopy.
Bulb not fitting or not working
Ensure you are using a Medium Base bulb (max 60W). Verify that the power is turned on at the breaker.
Before use
- Verify all parts are present (Mounting hardware, Canopy, Finials, Loops, Chain, Metal ring, Bottom basket, Socket).
- Ensure power is turned off at the main circuit breaker.
- Confirm the outlet box is suitable for the fixture weight.
- Have a Medium Base bulb ready for installation.
- Ensure you have a ladder and basic hand tools.
