Device Description
The impact wrench is designed for professional fastening applications. Key components include the trigger switch, forward/reverse button, anvil, battery pack, worklights, mode selector, and belt hook.
Operation
To operate the tool, insert a fully charged battery pack into the handle until it clicks. Use the variable speed trigger to control the speed; the more you squeeze, the faster the tool operates. The forward/reverse button determines the rotation direction and acts as a lock-off switch. The mode selector allows choosing between different operating modes (e.g., Precision Wrench, Timber Screw, Scaffolding) depending on the model.
Battery and Charger
Use only DeWalt chargers for DeWalt battery packs. Insert the battery into the charger; the red light will blink to indicate charging has started and will remain solid when fully charged. The charger features a hot/cold pack delay to protect battery life. For long-term storage, keep the battery fully charged in a cool, dry place.
Maintenance
The tool requires minimal maintenance. Keep air vents clean by blowing out dust with dry air. Do not use solvents for cleaning. The tool does not require additional lubrication.
Safety
Always wear eye and ear protection. Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when working near hidden wiring. Do not use the impact wrench as a torque wrench; use a calibrated torque measurement device for specific torque requirements.

Common problems
Tool does not start
Ensure the battery is fully charged and properly seated. Check if the forward/reverse button is in the center (locked) position.
Battery not charging
Check if the charger is plugged into a working outlet. Ensure the battery is fully seated. If the light does not turn on, the battery or charger may be faulty.
Fastener over-tightened or damaged
Do not use the impact wrench to reach specific torque values. Use a calibrated torque wrench for final tightening.
Before use
- Ensure the battery pack is fully charged.
- Check that the tool is clean and free of debris.
- Inspect the anvil and accessories for cracks or damage.
- Ensure the forward/reverse button is set correctly.
