Device Description

The tool features a trigger switch, a square anvil (1/2" for DCF512, 3/8" for DCF513), a forward/reverse dial, a battery release button, a worklight, and a lock-off button.

Operation

To operate, install the appropriate accessory onto the anvil. Select the desired rotation direction using the forward/reverse dial. Press the variable speed trigger to start and release it to stop. If the tool stalls, release the trigger immediately to prevent damage. The tool can also be used manually to start stubborn fasteners or for final tightening, but avoid applying excessive manual torque.

Battery and Charger

The tool is compatible with various DEWALT 18V battery packs. To charge, insert the battery into the charger; the red light will blink to indicate charging and remain solid when fully charged. The charger features a hot/cold pack delay to protect battery life. Always store batteries in a cool, dry place.

Safety

Always wear eye and ear protection. Hold the tool by insulated gripping surfaces when working near hidden wiring. Keep air vents clear and avoid operating the tool for long periods to minimize vibration exposure. Wear gloves when handling hot accessories.

Maintenance

The tool requires minimal maintenance. Keep the tool clean and free of dust by blowing out air vents with dry air. Do not use solvents or harsh chemicals for cleaning. The tool requires no additional lubrication.
