Quick guide from the manual
This document provides essential operating and safety instructions for the Faber LUSSO 191BK and 221BK refrigerators. Key requirements include proper grounding, maintaining adequate ventilation space (30cm above, 5cm sides/rear), and ensuring the unit is placed on a level, solid surface away from heat sources.
Safety instructions
- Do not use mechanical devices to accelerate defrosting.
- Keep ventilation openings clear of obstructions.
- Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- Ensure the power cord is not trapped or damaged.
- Do not store explosive substances like aerosol cans inside.
- Children aged 8 and above may use the appliance under supervision; cleaning and maintenance should not be performed by children.
Installation
Ensure the refrigerator is placed on a level, solid, and dry surface. Avoid tilting the unit more than 45 degrees. Leave sufficient clearance for air circulation to maintain efficiency. Place the unit in a low-humidity area away from direct sunlight or heat sources like stoves.
Operation
For the first use, allow the empty refrigerator to run for 2-3 hours (up to 10 hours in summer) before adjusting the thermostat. Set the dial between 3 and 4 for normal operation. To make ice, pour cooled boiled water into the tray and set the dial to 7.
Defrosting
Defrost the unit when frost on the evaporator reaches 3-5mm thickness. Press the defrost button in the center of the thermostat knob. Once the cycle completes, the unit resumes normal operation automatically. Use a sponge or towel to collect meltwater; never use metal tools to scrape ice.
Maintenance
Disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance. Do not use abrasive powders, detergents, benzene, or acid to clean the unit. Periodically check the power cord and plug for damage or overheating.
Troubleshooting
If the unit is not cooling, check for power interruptions, blown fuses, or incorrect thermostat settings. If the unit makes unusual noises, ensure it is on a flat surface and not in contact with other items. If the compressor runs constantly, check if the door is closed tightly or opened too frequently.
