Intended use

This tool is intended for sanding small surfaces, corners, and edges, sawing thin sheet metal, wood, and plastic parts, as well as scraping, polishing, rasping, cutting, and separating in weather-protected environments using FEIN-approved accessories.

Safety instructions

  • Always hold the tool by the insulated gripping surfaces when performing work where the accessory might contact hidden wiring.
  • Use clamps or other practical methods to secure and support the workpiece on a stable platform.
  • Wear personal protective equipment, including face protection, safety goggles, dust mask, hearing protection, and protective gloves.
  • Do not direct the tool against yourself, other persons, or animals.
  • Clean ventilation openings regularly with non-metallic tools to prevent dust accumulation.

Tool change

The tool features a tool-free clamping system. To change an accessory:

  5. Close the clamping lever securely.

Warning: Do not switch on the tool while the clamping lever is open, as this poses a risk of injury to hands and fingers.

Battery operation

The tool is compatible with 18V FEIN AMPShare Li-ion batteries. To check the charge level, press the button on the battery indicator. If no LEDs light up, the battery is defective and must be replaced.

Operating instructions

  • Sanding: Press the tool with the sanding sheet briefly and firmly against a flat surface and switch it on. Work with the entire surface of the sanding plate.
  • Sawing: Select a high oscillation frequency.
  • Scraping: Select a moderate to high oscillation frequency.

Maintenance and cleaning

Regularly clean the ventilation slots and battery terminals with a soft, clean, and dry brush. Do not use chemical substances for cleaning the battery. If the tool has been used on gypsum-containing materials, blow out the ventilation openings and switch element with dry, oil-free compressed air.

Transport

The included Li-ion batteries are subject to Dangerous Goods Legislation. Users can transport the batteries by road without further requirements. When transported by third parties (e.g., air transport), special packaging and labeling requirements must be observed.

Tool does not start
