Intended Use

The hand-guided nibbler is designed for cutting sheet metal, cut-outs, and tight curves in weather-protected environments using FEIN-approved accessories, without the use of water.

Safety Instructions

  • Personal Protective Equipment: Wear eye protection, ear protection, and protective gloves. Use a dust mask or respirator to filter particles generated during operation.
  • Workpiece Security: Secure the workpiece firmly using a clamping device or vice.
  • Battery Safety: Do not disassemble, open, or crush batteries. Protect from heat, fire, and direct sunlight. Keep away from children.
  • Maintenance: Clean ventilation openings regularly with non-metallic tools to prevent conductive dust buildup.

Operating Instructions

  • Guide the power tool toward the workpiece only when switched on.
  • Hold the tool as upright as possible to the workpiece surface while cutting.
  • Guide the tool uniformly with light feed in the cutting direction. Excessive feed reduces tool life.
  • Do not cut welded seams or multi-layered sheets exceeding the maximum thickness.
  • Lubrication: To increase punch and die life, apply cutting paste or oil for steel, or petroleum for aluminum, along the cutting line.
  • Inside Cuts: A pilot hole is required for inside cut-outs. Refer to the Technical Data section for required diameters.

Battery Handling

Store, operate, and charge the battery only within the temperature range of 5 °C – 45 °C (41 °F – 113 °F). The battery temperature must be within this range at the start of charging.
