These lights harness energy from the sun during the day to charge internal batteries, which then power the LEDs automatically at night. First Use and Setup

To ensure the best performance, it is essential to prepare the lights correctly before their first use. Upon receiving the product, leave the switch in the OFF position for two full sunny days. This initial charging period allows the batteries to reach their maximum capacity, which is crucial for consistent performance. After this period, you can switch the unit to the AUTO position to begin normal operation.

Optimal Positioning

The performance of your solar lights is directly dependent on the amount of sunlight the solar panel receives. For optimal results, position the solar panel in a location that receives maximum direct sunlight throughout the day. Avoid placing the lights in areas that are shaded by trees, buildings, or other structures. Additionally, do not place the lights near bright artificial light sources at night, as this can interfere with the light sensor and prevent the lights from turning on automatically.

Battery Maintenance and Performance

The lights use rechargeable NiMH batteries. Over time, with repeated charge and discharge cycles, the battery capacity may naturally decrease. If you notice that the lights are not staying illuminated for as long as they used to, you can attempt to boost the charge. To do this, turn the switch to the OFF position and leave the lights in direct sunlight for 3 to 5 days. This process helps to refresh the battery capacity. If the batteries eventually fail to hold a charge, they should be replaced with the specified 1.2V AA NiMH 300mAh batteries. Always dispose of old batteries according to your local environmental regulations.
