Service Action
The service procedure involves inspecting the vehicle build date, checking the rear view camera part number (for 2015 models), and inspecting the luggage compartment lid wiring harness for damage or chafing. If damage is found, the harness must be repaired or a jumper harness installed.
Camera Inspection (2015 Models)
- Verify if the vehicle was built between May 12, 2014, and February 28, 2015.
- If applicable, remove the rear parking aid camera and inspect the engineering part number on the back.
- If the part number is not FR3T-19G490-AH, the camera must be replaced.
Wiring Harness Inspection and Repair
- Access the luggage compartment lid wiring harness by removing the emergency release handle, latch cover, and trim panel.
- Disconnect the negative battery cable before proceeding.
- Inspect the exposed wiring harness for signs of damage or chafing.
- If damage is found, cut out the damaged section and splice in the replacement harness section using the specified wiring splice kits (3U2Z-14A088-AB).
