The FOS Hydor 120W RGBL is a professional stage lighting fixture. This manual provides essential safety, installation, and operational guidelines. Always ensure the fixture is properly grounded (Protection Class 1) and never plug it into a dimmer pack. During initial operation, a light smoke or smell may occur; this is normal as excess paint burns off. Allow the fixture to cool for 15 minutes before servicing.

Device Overview

The fixture features a system menu LCD display, DMX input/output ports (3-pin and 5-pin), power input/output, and a fuse. Refer to the device diagram for the exact location of these components.

Installation Guidelines

Installation must be performed by qualified personnel. Follow these critical safety steps:

• Maintain a minimum distance of 3.3 feet (1 meter) from surfaces/objects.
• Keep flammable materials at least 1.6 feet (0.5 meters) away.
• Ensure the mounting structure is certified to hold the weight of the fixture and accessories.
• Always use a secondary safety attachment (safety cable) for overhead rigging.
• Ambient operating temperature must be between -4°F and 113°F (-20°C to 45°C).
• Ensure all connections are sealed with dielectric grease to prevent corrosion.

System Menu

The system menu allows for configuration of the following:

• Control: DMX Address (001-512), Channel Mode (12CH/22CH), Signal Select, and Wireless settings.
• Settings: Display options, Key Lock, DMX Fault behavior (Hold/Blackout), Dimmer Speed, Dimmer Curve, LED Frequency, Fan Mode, and Calibration settings.
• Information: View error info, temperature, firmware version, and UID.

DMX Channel Mapping

The fixture supports a 12CH DMX mode. Key channels include:

• 1CH: Pan (540°)
• 2CH: Tilt (230°)
• 3CH: Zoom
• 4CH: Dimmer
• 5CH: Strobe effects
• 6CH-9CH: RGB and L (Lime) color control
• 10CH: Color Temperature (1800K-8000K)
• 11CH: Color Macros
• 12CH: System functions (Reset, Fan control, etc.)

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular maintenance is required to ensure longevity:

• Cleaning: Periodically clean the external lens with a soft cloth. Never use alcohol, solvents, or ammonia-based cleaners.
• Inspections: Perform a detailed electric check every three months. Ensure all screws and fasteners are tight. Check for housing deformations and ensure power cables are free of damage.
