Battery charging and maintenance
Before using the tool, ensure the battery is fully charged. Connect the charger to a power outlet; the pilot lamp will blink in red. Insert the battery firmly into the charger. The pilot lamp will light continuously while charging and blink when complete. If the lamp flickers, check for foreign objects in the connector or contact an authorized service center. Always store batteries in a cool, dry place and keep terminals free of swarf and dust to prevent short circuits.
Operation and settings
- Removing/Inserting Battery: Use the latch to release or secure the battery pack.
- Mode Selection: Use the mode-switching dial to select between drilling, driving, or impact drilling (DV12DJ only).
- Torque Adjustment: Use the clutch dial to set the desired tightening torque. Do not set the dial between numerals or between the drill mark and the last numeral.
- Rotation Speed: Use the shift knob to toggle between High (H) and Low (L) speeds. Only change speed when the motor is stopped.
- Bit Mounting: Insert the bit into the keyless chuck and tighten the sleeve securely.
- Rotation Direction: Use the push button to reverse the rotational direction.
Safety and maintenance
Always wear eye protection and ear protection when impact drilling. Keep the work area clean and well-lit. Regularly inspect mounting screws for tightness and keep the motor winding free of oil and water. Common problems
Motor stops during operation
The tool may be overloaded or overheated. Release the switch, eliminate the cause of the overload, and allow the tool to cool down.
Battery charging fails
Check for foreign objects in the charger connector. If the pilot lamp flickers, the battery or charger may be malfunctioning; contact an authorized service center.
Weakened tightening torque in cold conditions
This is a temporary phenomenon when using the battery below 0°C. Performance will return to normal once the battery warms up.
Before use
- Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit.
- Check that the battery is fully charged.
- Verify that the bit is securely tightened in the keyless chuck.
- Ensure the shift knob is set to the correct speed before starting.
- Check that the clutch dial is set to a specific numeral, not between settings.

- Impact rate (Bpm)
- The frequency of impacts per minute, applicable to the DV12DJ model.
