Device Description
The unit features an antenna, operation panel with display, speaker, and ports for the AC adapter and battery. Controls include power, volume, equalizer, mode selection, and channel tuning.
Installation and Power
- Battery Installation: Align the battery with the groove and slide it in until it clicks. To remove, press the two latches on the battery. Only use HiKOKI BSL36B18 batteries.
- AC Adapter: Pull back the rubber cover, connect the adapter to the port, and plug it into a standard household outlet. The AC adapter is the primary power source when connected.
Operation
- Switching On/Off: Press the power button.
- Volume: Use the + and - buttons.
- Mode Selection: Press the MODE button to cycle between FM, AM, Bluetooth (BT), and DAB/DAB+.
- Radio Tuning: Use the |<< or >>| buttons to change frequency. Press and hold briefly to search for the next station with a strong signal.
- Bluetooth: Select BT mode, activate Bluetooth on your mobile device, and connect to 'UR18DA'.
- Equalizer: Press the EQ button to toggle between Treble and Bass settings, then adjust using + or -.
Maintenance and Safety
- Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth or a cloth moistened with soapy water. Do not use solvents like gasoline or paint thinner.
- Storage: Avoid humid, dusty, or high-temperature areas. Ensure batteries are fully charged before long-term storage.
- Safety: Do not disassemble the radio. Keep terminals free of dust and metal debris to prevent short circuits.
