The Hilti DD 110-D is an electrically powered diamond core drilling machine designed for hand-held dry drilling in masonry. It is not suitable for drilling in concrete or reinforced concrete. The tool is intended for professional use by trained, authorized personnel.

Safety
General Safety: Always wear personal protective equipment, including eye protection, hard hat, ear defenders, protective gloves, and light respiratory protection. Ensure the work area is clean and well-lit. Do not operate in explosive atmospheres.
Electrical Safety: Always use the provided PRCD (Portable Residual Current Device). Check the supply cord regularly for damage. If working outdoors, use only approved extension cords.
Operation
Setup: Adjust the side handle to the desired position. Ensure the diamond core bit is correctly fitted into the BI+ chuck. If using a two-part hole-starting aid, do not operate the machine without contact with the work surface.
Drilling: Start drilling at a low speed until the bit is centered, then increase pressure. If using dust extraction, ensure the suction hose is routed away from the core bit to prevent contact.
Maintenance
Care: Keep the tool clean and free of oil and grease. Clean air vents with a dry brush. Do not use silicone-based cleaning agents.
Maintenance: Repairs to electrical components must be performed only by trained electrical specialists. Replace carbon brushes when the service indicator lights up. For all repairs, use only genuine Hilti spare parts.
Troubleshooting
If the machine does not achieve full performance, check the power supply and extension cord length. If the core bit does not rotate, ensure the gear selector is fully engaged or use an open-end wrench to free a jammed bit.

Practical help
Common problems
Carbon brush wear limit is reached. Have them replaced at the next opportunity.
Check for undervoltage in the power supply or check the length of the extension cord.
Ensure the gear selector is fully engaged or the bit is not jammed in the base material.
Check if the maximum drilling depth is reached, the core is stuck, or the bit is polished (sharpen on a sharpening plate).
Before use
- Check the work area for concealed electrical, gas, or water lines.
- Ensure the PRCD is functioning correctly.
- Check the supply cord and extension cord for damage.
- Ensure the side handle is securely tightened.
- Verify the core bit is correctly fitted and locked in the chuck.
